UCP CULTURE AT WORK

The UCP Culture at Work initiative is an intentional effort to create and sustain a culture of excellence across the agency. In other words, we want to take who we are and what we do on our best days... and make that an every day occurrence.

Introducing Maggie and Monty Moose

Recently, in order to help magnify our outreach efforts surrounding the Culture at Work initiative, UCP’s Recognition Committee adopted the Moose as our “Culture Mascot”.

Living the Principles Employee Recognition Program

Living the Principles is our employee recognition program that grew out of the Culture at Work initiative. The program recognizes staff for modeling the principles that demonstrate who we are and what we do on our best days.

Recognition is provided to employees on a monthly and quarterly basis. Employees who receive the monthly Special Thanks and Recognition (STAR) Award receive a certificate, a notebook and pen, and recognition on the UCP social media. The monthly awardees go into a pool for consideration for the quarterly Agency Cultural Excellence (ACE) Award.

Congratulations to this quarter's ACE Award winners!

Our employees and volunteers ensure that our six culture principles (sometimes referred to as our pillars) are prominent in everything we do:

PERSON FOCUSED

We are person focused, when we ensure that each person’s interests and needs are the driving force behind our actions.

COMMUNICATE

We communicate effectively, when we are clear and concise and ensure understanding with all stakeholders.

CONNECTED

We are connected, when we are passionate about–and proud of–the work we do, individually and collectively.

INNOVATE

We innovate, when we work together to find creative and innovative ways to develop and deliver programs and services.

INSPIRE LEADERSHIP

We inspire leadership, when we demonstrate a commitment to help others learn new skills in a highly collaborative manner.

TEAMWORK

We exhibit teamwork, when we foster collaboration through trust, accountability, and respect.
