In support of our vision to serve the community for generations to come, the following preliminary needs in the community have been identified as potential uses of UCP Foundation of Central PA resources.


Preliminary Community Needs

In support of our vision to serve the community for generations to come, the following preliminary needs in the community have been identified as potential uses of UCP Foundation of Central PA resources.

  • Expand services for children and adults with Autism.
  • Address the unmet and evolving needs of individuals with disabilities in the Central Pennsylvania community.
  • Expand Community Home and Supported Living programs.
  • Provide much needed support for unfunded or under-funded programs.
  • Provide the necessary resources that will enable us to maintain the quality level of services and supports the community has come to expect from UCP.
  • Enable UCP to remain at the forefront of service providers through the implementation of new technology and service delivery models for people with disabilities.

Addressing Unmet Needs

Addressing the unmet and evolving needs of individuals with disabilities in the Central Pennsylvania community through:

  • Advocacy - At the federal, state, and local level, advocate on behalf of individuals with disabilities and their families.
  • Employment - Provide a range of options for individuals with disabilities to secure meaningful employment.
  • Inclusive Fitness and Recreation - Provide opportunities for children and adults with disabilities through the creation of accessible playgrounds and fitness trails in Dauphin and Cumberland Counties.

Support for under-funded programs

Provide much needed support for unfunded or under-funded programs:

  • Youth Programs. - Provide social and recreational opportunities for teens with disabilities.
  • Assistive Technology Reutilization Program. - Refurbish and recycle home medical equipment or assistive technology aids for individuals with limited insurance coverage or financial resources.

Staff Retention Initiatives

Provide the necessary resources that will enable us to maintain the quality level of services and supports the community has come to expect from UCP by maintaining high-quality staffing for all UCP programs and services.

New Technology and Service Delivery Models

Enable UCP to remain at the forefront of service providers through the implementation of new technology and service delivery models for people with disabilities.
