UCP Central PA

At UCP Central PA, "Life Without Limits" is much more than a slogan. It's a goal we strive to help our consumers achieve 24/7, year in and year out. While our name -- United Cerebral Palsy -- would seem to suggest otherwise, our consumers come to us with a wide range of conditions and diagnoses. The reality is this: the vast majority of the people we serve have a condition other than cerebral palsy.

Over the past 60 years, UCP Central PA has been meeting the needs of individuals of all ages with all types of disabilities and special needs, at every stage of life - from pediatric to geriatric. With our comprehensive array of programs and services, we can help you achieve greater independence in areas as varied as education, employment, housing, and social and recreational activities.

UCP Foundation of Central PA

Ready, Set, Go for Health

Ready Set Go for Health: Providing Educators, Families, and Students with Easy Access to Exercise and Nutrition

The READY (Resources for Exercise Activities & Diet for You) Project was started by a group of community volunteers working on working a related grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to encourage healthy lifestyles among children with disabilities and to reduce their risk of obesity.

The group created the Ready Set Go for Health website to provide children and parents with the resources needed to assist them to lead healthier lives, including exercise videos, nutrition tips, and other helpful resources.
