Director of Adult Day Programs
Deirdre is the Director of Adult Day Programs. In her role, she oversees operational compliance and growth, quality improvement in service provision, and continuous staff development. She facilitates the program philosophy that individual growth and development is a lifelong opportunity. Deirdre advances services and supports through innovation and forward-thinking strategies focused particularly in the areas of communication, choice and control, and community involvement.
Deirdre has over thirteen years of experience in human services. Most recently, she provided managerial oversight for UCP's new adult day program in Middletown, PA. Prior to joining UCP Central PA, Deirdre served Human First, Inc. as the Coordinator of Day Services for the New York City Region, where she managed the expansion of day programming in four boroughs as well as the development of in-home programming for those with significant developmental delays. She was later appointed to Coordinator of Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) and Customized Employment, the agency’s first Supported Employment program. As the Certified CQL Trainer, she was responsible for the workforce development and training in CQL’s Personal Outcome Measures® and developed the organizational plan for accreditation and POMs® assessment.
Deirdre graduated from Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and German Studies. She lives in York with her fiancé, Angel, and soon-to-be stepson.
