Director of Childhood and Ancillary Services

Marci Walborn is the Director of Childhood and Ancillary Services for UCP Central PA where she is responsible for the strategic leadership of the Early Intervention, Family Support, and Assistive/Independent Living Technology departments. Additionally, she continues to carry a part-time caseload as an Early Intervention Occupational Therapist.

Most recently, Marci was the Manager of Therapies, where she was responsible for fiscal oversight, regulatory compliance of program and staff, evaluation of program needs for sustainability, and strategic growth of the Early Intervention department.

Marci joined the UCP team in June 1999 as a part-time Occupational Therapist. Her responsibilities included providing assessments as part of the assistive technology team and delivering therapy to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In January 2000, Marci joined the Early Intervention team where she provided occupational therapy services to infants and toddlers who were experiencing delays in their development. As an early intervention therapist, Marci also worked closely with the families to identify home/community strategies in support of their child’s development. 

From 2005 until 2017, Marci worked as a PRN Occupational Therapist in a nursing home providing evaluations, family training, and ongoing therapy to adults with a wide range of diagnoses and therapy needs.

Marci holds a BS in Occupational Therapy from the University of Scranton.

She lives in Marysville with her husband and their son.

They often have an affinity for (if not a personal stake in) UCP, and are willing to put their time, talents, and abilities to work to help sustain and grow programs and services for people with disabilities. The Board provides direction to ensure that the activities of the organization move forward in a manner consistent with our mission and values.
