Julie Beroukas Snyder
Director of Development
Julie is Director of Development for UCP Central PA and leads the Community Relations and Development Department. Julie also serves as Executive Director of UCP Foundation of Central PA. Her responsibilities include planning, developing, and maintaining a comprehensive fund development program on behalf of the Foundation to support the mission and vision of UCP.
Most recently, Julie was the Senior Director of Development for the University of California, Santa Cruz Genomics Institute, which has secured funding from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. While there, she closed the institute’s first $1 million endowed chair for their genomic pediatric cancer initiative. Prior to her role at UCSC, she was the Director of Development for the University of Wisconsin-Madison Global Health Institute where she closed the institute’s first $2 million endowed chair, supporting one of the university’s Nobel Peace Prize winners. Julie began her professional fundraising career in annual giving, working at Crown College, Oral Roberts University, the University of Connecticut (UConn), and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is a former Board of Directors member for the Literacy Network and is currently working part-time on her Executive Master’s degree in Philanthropic Studies at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. She received her BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Secondary Education and History.
Julie and her husband, TR, welcomed a new baby boy, Calvin, in February 2017. She enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with her family and their two dogs.
