We at UCP were first exposed to Autumn’s many and varied talents
when she submitted the winning essay for her grade level in 2012. In it,
she wrote of what it was like to live with cerebral palsy. The winning essay began “CP doesn’t stand for Cerebral Palsy. It stands for Courage and Persistence. My name is Autumn, and I’m a twelve-year-old living with Cerebral Palsy.”
Among her other achievements, Autumn represented our community with poise and distinction as a State Finalist in the 2013 National American Miss Pennsylvania State Pageant. In addition to earning 4th place in the optional Spokesmodel competition, she was elected recipient of the Spirit Award by her peers, and won the overall title of Miss Pennsylvania Junior Teen 2013.
Clearly, with Autumn any (and every) thing is possible!
