Pre-Employment Transition Services (P.E.T.S.)

Join a network of schools offering an innovative pre-employment and life skills-based curriculum for transition age students in school districts throughout Pennsylvania.

from school days to pay days.

Group (classroom and community-based) services are available to students who are eligible or potentially eligible to receive OVR services. The standards-based curriculum focuses on:

  • Independent living skills training
  • Self-advocacy training
  • Post-secondary education
  • Travel training
  • Job shadowing
  • Work-based learning experiences

Individual services are only available to students who have an open case with OVR. These services include:

  • Job shadowing
    • 1- to 5-day experience
    • 25 hours per school year
  • Work-based learning experiences
    • in-school or after-school opportunities, or experience outside the traditional school setting (internships)
    • 90 hours per school year
