Whether you need time to get away for work or personal reasons… or you simply need time to rest… UCP can help. We have a long, proud history of evolving with—and responding to—the needs of the community. Through our respite services, we are seeking to satisfy an unmet need by providing yet another level of support to family members who serve as primary caregivers for a loved one with a disability.
Funding for Respite Services is Available Through:
- Consolidated Waiver
- Person Family Directed Support (PFDS) Waiver
- Autism Waiver
- Base funding, available through the county of residency.

Two Types of Respite Offered
AM/PM respite is similar to before and after school care for youth and young adults, ages 14 and up, who have an intellectual or physical disability. Hours of service are 7-9 am and 3-5 pm, Monday through Friday.
Evening Respite offers care and recreation for children and adults with disabilities on Fridays from 6-10pm. We accept all age groups and siblings as well. This program is currently being offered on Friday evenings only, but may be expanded, based on consumer demand. The location of the respite site alternates from week to week.
